13. September 2012
Once again this year Novozymes’ performance places it in the sector's first place.  Out of a possible 100 points, Novozymes received 86 points. Novozymes has now been honored by the DJSI eleven times for its sustainable activities.

No. 1, once again
"By bagging the No. 1 position, once again, we have proven that sustainability is an integrated part of how we do business. The DJSI considers business performance measured on economic, environmental and social indicators, and thus, our ranking clearly illustrates how sustainability is woven into every aspect of our business,” says Novozymes’ Vice President of Finance, Mads Bodenhoff. “The overall results this year also highlight that the competition within the sustainability performance has sharpened within the industry. Constant improvement is necessary to maintain leadership in this quickly evolving field.”

More on the DJSI and SAM Gold Class ranking
The DJSI is an international recognized sustainability ranking system run by Dow Jones, the leading supplier of stock market, financial and economic information, and SAM Group Holding AG, a Swiss investment group. The survey results, which are published annually, are based on a comprehensive sustainability analysis. Selection criteria include aspects such as corporate governance, environmental management, operational eco-efficiency, and supply chain management.

The results for SAM Gold Class 2013 (the best performing companies across all sectors) will be announced in January/February next year in the “SAM Sustainability Yearbook 2013”.
