Sustainable Business Award by supplier Abengoa
Novozymes receives the Sustainable Business Award 2011 or its contribution to sustainable development and for setting an example to other companies. Novozymes supplies enzymes for biofuel production to Abengoa and has documented its CO2 footprint through life cycle studies. The award created in November 2010, aim to publicly recognize Abengoa's suppliers that are committed to sustainable development and combating climate change.

ET Carbon Rankings
Novozymes was ranked in the top 1% in the ET Global 1000 Carbon Index and received the Environmental Tracking Carbon Verification Leaders Award 2010, which recognizes companies that document and verify their greenhouse gas emissions. Novozymes was one of only seven organizations in the world whose reported emission figures for greenhouse gases were fully accepted because Novozymes’ figures are externally verified and meet a standard accepted by the London-based Environmental Investment Organisation (EIO), an independent nonprofit research organization promoting ecological and ethical investment systems. Furthermore, Novozymes is included in the ET Europe 300 Carbon Rating.

For the sixth year Novozymes was selected by SustainableBusiness.com as one of the 20 companies on the 2009 SB20 List: The World's Top Sustainable Stocks. The list is published in The Progressive Investor newsletter based on an analysis made by five investment advisors specializing in investments in socially and environmentally responsible companies. It includes two overlapping categories of companies: Those whose products are an important part of the transition to a more sustainable society, and those whose involvement in sustainable development is an important part of their business.
