rTrypsin^® Granulate (EC 3.4.21.4) is a recombinant product manufactured by microbial fermentation. Its substrate specificity is serine protease and its unit activity is 800 USP/m. Like native trypsin from bovine or porcine pancreas, it's suited to a range of biotechnological processes. Unlike native trypsin, rTrypsin^® Granulate is animal component-free. That allows it to meet the stringent safety regulations in place for biologicals and biopharmaceuticals.
